Jefrey Salek, MD was born and raised in Connecticut. He received his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New Hyde Park, New York, where he also served as a Chief Medical Resident. Dr. Salek went on to complete his fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Salek is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Gastroenterology and Connecticut State Medical Society. He holds medical staff privileges at William W Backus Hospital.
