Board certified in Gastroenterology, he serves as Chairman of Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement at Eastern Connecticut Endoscopy Center, ensuring adherence to national benchmarks for high-quality patient care. Dr. Abay is an active member of several medical associations and currently chairs the Medical Ethics Committee of the New London County Medical Association. Fluent in English, Amharic, and Tigrigna.
