Everyone was very nice. Explained the procedure. Was in and out in no time. No problems after.
I’ve seen Dr. Abay about five times now, including office and procedural visits. He doesn’t seem to smile often,… and I feel this is very important. He seems like a decent guy… and, equally, he seems knowledgable and thorough. However, he falls into that category of doctor who lacks that personable affect and bedside manner, which most patients long for in doctors. The thing about doctors who are lacking in the aforementioned areas, it seems, is they tend to favor their own agenda. Dr. Abay comes into the room pushing his lap-top cart, jumps right into relaying medical information and, then, not surprisingly, he starts his exit strategy…. During one visit in particular, I had some concerns and needed to ask some questions. The look on his face as I pumped the proverbial brakes… ! I mean, really, isn’t it a shame that patients need to ask those dreaded things!! …questions. I believe Dr. Abay is very knowledgeable, and I am not trying to dissuade anyone from seeking him out, if his specialty is required. However, I do feel it is important to create awareness regarding what I have written. Patients need to be empowered to advocate for themselves.
Very professional and polite. Quick and easy.
